A New Recruit

I think of her body
Calling me home
To her joyful, lusty
Garden of earthly delights

Her scent gathers
At the base of my spine
And dominates my attention
Like a new recruit
So very eager to please

She sighs with pleasure
And my heart leaps
With joyous gratitude

Will she abandon her
Tiny boat and swim with me
In the Sea of Ecstasy
Regardless of the weather?

Can I find myself floating
Soulfully in those bottomless
Pools of liquid longing
Staring back at me with
Such vulnerable concern?

Only time will tell
And time has sworn
An oath of silence
Lest her secrets become known
And the mystery
Be revealed.
